Greg Smith
- Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Owner Industry Trainer Greg has served as a trainer in the bioprocessing and pharmaceutical industries for over 24 years. He leverages his professional experience in new drug research and development, CGMP facilities, quality control, quality assurance, cleanroom operations, environmental monitoring, and microbiology operations. He has designed several labs and cleanroom spaces, and has been instrumental in working with numerous companies to ensure contamination control through aseptic practices. Teaching from his experiences is his passion, and he excels at delivering it.
- A chemist by trade, he assisted in the development of formulations manufactured aseptically in cleanroom facilities that he helped design. Aseptic manufacturing was a key component of his job responsibilities in the pharmaceutical, biologic, and medical device industries.
- Throughout his training experience, Greg has developed relationships with industry executives and educational institutions in North Carolina that offer the latest concepts and technologies to strengthen the knowledge base of incumbent workers in the life sciences sector. He continues to update his skill set through professional development opportunities, including Executive Conference training, International Society of Pharmaceutical Engineering (ISPE) training, and researching the latest developments in domestic and international guidance documents, all in an effort to enhance his expertise and share it with his audience cohort. He maintains membership with ISPE and the regional chapter (Carolina-South Atlantic Chapter).
- Customization of courses for company needs is his main focus, a concept that is frequently lacking in the training environment, and as a certified trainer, he is able to develop materials and activities that are not only relevant to these needs but also designed to reinforce the concepts that these organizations desire for their workforce.
